THE CAMP RESTAURANT
The Camp Restaurant, located in a historic district in Natchez, Mississippi, is a popular tourist destination just off the banks of the Mississippi River. A laid back restaurant with a heavy focus on craft beer, The Camp Restaurant’s motto is “Where Good Food Meets Good Times.” When they approached us about updating their branding, the goal was to make it feel modern and sophisticated, while maintaining their existing brand’s friendly, approachable vibe.
The focus of the rebrand was to refine The Camp’s identity in a way that captures the essence of their brand, appeals to tourists visiting their charming Southern town, and maintains the friendly vibe that makes the restaurant a favorite to locals. By replacing the distressed font and introducing clean, iconic elements, we successfully captured the premium yet easygoing dining experience that The Camp prides itself on.
Once the identity was established, we applied the brand assets consistently throughout the entire customer experience. By honing in on simple, iconic elements, we provided a polished and distinct visual system that refocuses their identity on the heart of their brand. The clean iconography allows for either a single identifier or a pattern to be applied in various elements.
Strong merchandising can provide a much-appreciated boost in establishing a fanbase and generating additional cashflow, especially when running a restaurant or brewery where margins are generally tight. Scaling the identity across a curated selection of products that appeal to The Camp’s tourist clientele generates an awareness and builds a following that lasts long after the dining experience. These branded elements assume the role of visual evangelists for The Camp Restaurant.
